Anaheim Ducks forward Adam Henrique is out week-to-week with a lower-body injury he sustained against the Tampa Bay Lightning on Tuesday.

Henrique was injured during the second period of the game Tuesday when he seemed to have gotten tangled up with Bolts forward Brandon Hagel. Henrique was able to get up on his own but immediately headed to the locker room. He logged 10:55 of ice time.

Henrique has registered 33 points (19 goals, 14 assists) in 57 games this season. He sits tied for first on the Ducks in the goals department alongside Trevor Zegras, and third among scoring leaders.

The 33-year-old’s name has been in trade rumors with the trade deadline approaching. Henrique is currently in his 13th NHL season, a career that has spanned 825 games between the New Jersey Devils and the Ducks. He signed a five-year, $29.1 million contract with the Ducks in July 2018. His contract has an average annual value of $5.8 million. He has one year left on the contract and will become an unrestricted free agent at the end of the 2023-24 season.

Additionally, the Ducks also announced that John Klingberg will miss Thursday’s game against the Washington Capitals with a lower-body injury. Klingberg has registered 22 points (seven goals, 15 assists) in 48 games this season. He signed a one-year, $7 million contract with the Ducks last summer after an eight-year run with the Dallas Stars.

Last season with the Stars, he registered 47 points (six goals, 41 assists) in 74 games played. His advanced stats metrics were solid as he was fourth in the league for successful zone exit carries, 15th in defensive zone carries, 22nd in total passes and 21st in stretch passes.

Klingberg has been a projected trade candidate for much of this season with an expiring deal on a poor Ducks team. Daily Faceoff’s Frank Seravalli listed the Seattle Kraken, New York Islanders and Calgary Flames as potential suitors for Klingberg in his trade deadline player profile.
