Los Angeles Clippers Make Two Roster Moves On Wednesday Night
USA TODAY Sports

With limited time remaining in the regular season, the Los Angeles Clippers have struggled since the All-Star break, going 0-3 with two losses coming in overtime.

Finally having their whole roster healthy and on the floor together, the Clippers still believe they are championship contenders in the Western Conference and they will have a big game coming up on Thursday night against the Golden State Warriors, a team they are currently tied with in the standings.

Ahead of this matchup though, the Clippers made two roster moves on Wednesday evening. Not only did the team waive Keaton Wallace, who they signed to a two-way contract on February 21, but Los Angeles also signed Xavier Moon to a two-way contract, the team announced.

Wallace, who was signed from the Ontario Clippers, the NBA G League affiliates of the Los Angeles Clippers, did not appear in any NBA games over the nine days he was on a two-way deal.

As for Moon, he signed a two-way deal with the Clippers near the end of last season as well before being waived and retained by the Ontario Clippers.

Playing in ten games for Los Angeles a season ago, Moon averaged 5.8 points and 2.4 assists per game while shooting 35.7 percent from three-point range.

The 28-year-old guard has appeared in 20 games with 11 starts for the Ontario Clippers this season, averaging 21.6 points, 4.2 rebounds, 5.7 assists and 1.7 steals per game.

Since waiving center Moses Brown, who was on a two-way contract, the Clippers have been searching for any little bit of production they can add to the end of their bench in his place as they enter the final stretch of the regular season.

Moon now joins Moussa Diabate, the team's second-round pick in this past year's draft, on a two-way deal.
