Daniel Cormier didn’t appreciate Joaquin Buckley badmouthing Conor McGregor ‘s mother. Buckley made headlines after his spectacular win at UFC St. Louis. However, Cormier wasn’t a big fan of everything that happened afterward.

Daniel Cormier recently sat down with Chael Sonnen on the Good Guy/Bad Guy show. During the conversation, DC revealed that Buckley’s callout for Conor McGregor was the worst and the fighter should have avoided that.

That was horrible, how do you do that? I just don't know what he was doing. Then he goes and he calls Conor McGregor's mom a bad name. It couldn't have gotten worse. It was bad.  Daniel Cormier via ESPN MMA

Buckley went on a rant over McGregor and called out his whole bloodline. The fighter also made fun of the Irishman’s mother and accused him of fighting lightweight fighters. UFC CEO, Dana White also responded to the situation and has already shut down the possibility of the fight.

McGregor is scheduled to fight Michael Chandler at welterweight in a five-round clash at UFC 303. The hype around it is massive and Cormier knows exactly what could go down during the much-anticipated clash.

Daniel Cormier breaks down Conor McGregor vs. Michael Chandler

Conor McGregor is coming back from injury after a huge three-year hiatus. However, the fighter is confident about his win. On the other hand, Michael Chandler has waited a long time for this opportunity and is coming off a loss in his last fight.

While talking about the fight, Daniel Cormier revealed that despite being useful, Chandler will not be using his wrestling against McGregor. According to DC, wrestling uses a lot of cardio which Chandler lacks.

[Chandler] will not [wrestle] and you know why...? For years we've been saying 'Michael Chandler needs to use his wrestling', and then he did it against Dustin Poirier and he got tired, and then Dustin submitted him. And because of that, he will never go back to that. He knows that fighting in the stand-up fight, you get less fatigued Daniel Cormier via ESPN MMA

In his last fight against Dustin Poirier, Chandler was submitted in the third round. It was a great opportunity for the former Bellator champion to move up in the rankings which he missed out on. However, fighting McGregor is a whole new ball game and it would be intriguing to see his strategy for the fight.
